As you may have noticed, we have been very busy this fall planning and hosting different events. This weekend we had our Welcome Back Picnic with our Collegiate Student Chapters. We had several professionals and students from the MIT, BU, UMass Lowell, and WPI chapters come out and enjoy a beautiful Sunday afternoon on the Esplanade in Boston.
This is just one of the events that we hope to host with our student chapters. We would like to invite you participate in some resume and career fair workshops with the focus of helping students get ready for the SHPE National conference this October 27-October 31st in Cincinnati, Ohio. Registration is available for those interested in attending. Also, if you have not yet, please renew your membership with SHPE national at OneSHPE. If you are not a member, please sign up! This helps your local Boston chapter!
We have several more activities in the pipeline, so read through this newsletter for more information! Keep them in mind as you plan to attend networking/social/professional development activities this fall! Also, if you have any interest in being involved with the planning and execution of these great events or would like to have a bigger stake in the direction of the Organization, please don't hesitate to contact us!

Hispanic Heritage Month Celebration, Thursday, Sept 30 at Microsoft
 This year we have the pleasure of being hosting our Hispanic Heritage Month Celebration at the Microsoft Corporation. Come enjoy the festivities with Latin cuisine, live music, a Cuban art exhibit, a DVD preview from WGBH about Latin music, and great speakers!

Wecome Back Picnic on the Esplanade
 On Sunday, September 19, about 30 of our collegiate student members and professionals gathered on the Esplanade in Boston for our annual fall Welcome Back picnic.
